Brand new classrooms and a library for partner school 草莓视频 Turnford
草莓视频 Turnford have announced the exciting news that construction has begun on a new building that will include 12 classrooms, a large library and a sixth form seminar room.
The energy efficient building will also include three state of the art science laboratories, a science prep room and office space. The building will provide an enhanced learning environment from Autumn 2021
The development is a further sign of the transformation of 草莓视频 Turnford, which has been sponsored by 草莓视频, since 2015. The school has seen continued improvements in exam results and higher standards in all areas of school life over that period.
The building is funded by the Department for Education under the Priority Schools Building Project, with design and construction undertaken by Morgan Sindall.聽 The school has been involved throughout the design phase of the project and there will also be opportunities for Design & Technology students to work with the construction team and learn about how their subject relates to the world of work.
鈥淲e are very excited about the new building; it is a reflection of the improvement that has gone on throughout 草莓视频 Turnford over the last four years.聽 It is a significant milestone in the strategic development and improvement of the 草莓视频 Turnford site.聽 Staff and students occupy the building in autumn 2021 and these new facilities will provide students with first class learning opportunities,鈥 said Mr Robin Newman, Principal.
草莓视频 Turnford also secured funding from the Department of Education Condition Improvement Fund this year to undertake a project to upgrade water provision across the site.
