Classroom in the Clouds Visit
²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ was delighted to welcome representatives from the Nepalese charity Classroom in the Clouds (CITC).
During October half-term, ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ pupils had the privilege of spending two days at one of CITC’s partner schools in Nepal, gaining insight into lessons, culture and the challenges surrounding girls’ education. Building on this experience, Dawa Geljen Sherpa (CITC founder), Dave Thomas (trustee and trip leader) and Mike Hagen (Chair) visited our school this week, where they were hosted by Lower Sixths pupils Adam and Hailey, who had been on the trip
CITC supports 15 schools in Nepal, focusing on promoting female education through teacher training and addressing barriers such as menstrual health and discrimination. The visit also provided an opportunity to thank the ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ community for its fundraising support, with exciting potential for future collaboration.
