The Master's Library Appeal
Writing ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ’s next chapter
We are immensely grateful to all the supporters in the Hailebury community who generously donated to The Master’s Library Appeal, enabling the transformation of our historic Library.
Established in honour of Martin Collier’s tenure at ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ, The Master’s Library Appeal aimed to raise funds for our improved Library facility, creating a modern space for teaching, learning and research, and a place of inspiration for generations of pupils to come.  Â
Our goal has been to provide every pupil with the opportunity to fully realise their academic potential. This vision began with the refurbishment of the Form Room Block in 2019 and continued more recently with the opening of SciTech. Now, the restoration and modernisation of the library represent the culmination of this vision.
Situated centrally on the estate, the Grade II* listed library building houses one of the country’s most extensive school book collections. After nearly four decades of minimal attention, the building urgently requires restoration to preserve its historical significance and upgrade it into a contemporary learning environment for our pupils.
Following the success of The Master’s Library Appeal, we are delighted to share that the restoration work to the Library will commence during the Easter holidays and be completed during the 2025 Summer holidays. This is to ensure minimum disruption to the pupils and also enable them to benefit from using the Library during the summer term when studying for exams.
“Change, improvement and development are essential for the health of institutions such as ours. And in making progress we best serve the interests of our pupils.â€Â
